For decades, Star Castle wasn’t just a place to skate, it was a place to grow. It was birthday parties and new friendships, late-night skate jams, and the sound of wheels humming under laughter. But with the closure of Savannah’s only indoor rink, our skating community has lost more than a building, we lost our home. 912 Skaters Coalition was born from that loss. We are skaters, parents, and community members coming together to preserve the joy, connection, and opportunity that skating brings. We advocate and work for creating safe, inclusive, and lasting spaces where all skaters—from beginners to pros—can belong, thrive, and roll forward together.
