Led by Jimmie Smith who serves as the Dean of Aviation at Savannah Technical College. Jimmie met his wife, Nicholl, skating in 1988 and they haven’t stopped since. For the past several years, Jimmie has been documenting skaters nationwide on his YouTube channel WeSk8TV to shine a light on the craft, skills, and culture of skating.

Since 2006, the Derby Devils have brought the exciting, fast-paced sport of roller derby to the Savannah community. As the only adult roller derby league in the city, we offer an inclusive environment for women and gender-expansive athletes to learn the sport, build confidence, and have fun. Roller derby isn’t just a sport, it’s a community and a movement fostering independence, empowerment, passion, and teamwork.

Savannah Jr. Roller Derby is a junior all-inclusive competitive sports organization. SJRD improves individual athleticism, self-discipline and character while promoting team unity; they develop athletes of attitude and athleticism with passion to play a hard-hitting sport of speed and skill.
Part of the international CIB movement, spreading the enthusiasm, encouragement, and love for roller skaters conquering skateparks.
